My tire rack tires come in a couple days--goodbye pos ecstas. Anyone know a good place for mount & balance. Side work for someone? There was an SCCA autocross guy that did this cheap, but I can't remember his name.

I had mine done at American Tire at the Hwy 70/100 split. Mike, the manager, is a member on here, and does a real good job.

The SCCA person you are refering to is probably Jerry Onks down at Vettesport in the Smyrna area. I do not have any contact info for him but you can find it on the TRSCCA forums I am sure.

Yeah, that's it --Jerry Onks. Yo Mike, pm me when you get a chance if you can hook me up. I'll check with Jerry, too. Thanks all.

Actually, that wasn't it it was this (from TRSCCA.COM)

================================================== ====
I have a Tire Machine and Balancer. The machine uses a poly rim tool so it wont hurt your aluminum wheels.

I charge $10/tire mount and balance. I have both stick on and hammer on weights.

You may have tires drop shipped to my house. I can also dispose of the takeoffs.

Ahh yeah Paul Becker. I forgot about him. Jerry is good too though and is an alignment wizard. Several of the top cars from the TRSCCA have been on his alignment rack.

I assume Jerry cornerweights also? I get coilovers this week too. Maybe get Jerry to do it all. Anyone know Vettesports number?

another peron you can trust with any of your suspension/tire concerns is vinnie(drives the old school rx-7 at the TRSCCA events) he works for dunlop and kyle on dicerson rd close to downtown

Yep Vinnie is good. He did my alignemt to my specs and got it as close as I could hope with all stock components. Jarett Harvey (sp?) at the front Desk is also a good one to know there. He autocrossed last year but has taken on a new endevor this year.

it should be the same number as Performance Garage, I think..... be ready to pay for the corner weighting, he does a good job, but it ain't cheap.

if you can't get ahold of Jerry or Paul, I have a friend at Gateway on Shelbyville hwy.

Moody, we did this before. I actually thought to myself yesterday, "hmm, we were doing something stupid with old posts but I can't remember what" and sure enough here you are.

Yeah, I will offer a formal public apology for acting like an idiot online - I was a little intoxicated, up late, and not thinking clearly from having something happen this past week that has me all shaken up.

Anyways - I'll not bump threads from 2004/2005... I'm going back to 2002! :lol:

I get all my tires mounted at Larry's Auto and Tire on Nolensville. Good price and good guys.

Paul Trent at Madison Tire (Old Hickory Blvd. E) has mounted several for me. He does a good job and is very reasonable. :)
