I had looked at this site (http://www.akgmotorsport.com/swaps.html) before, because I was looking over their 4.4L V8 install in an E30, and I was impressed with the craftsmanship. I like the V12 swapped E36 even more.

Perhaps an E30? (http://www.bmw-power.de/Fahrzeuge/E30_350i_stelze/roberts_350_foto_uebersicht.htm) I like the idea of the lighter chassis, but this particular install isn't quite as clean. I will own at least one car with 12 cylinders and a manual transmission in my life. I may have to put one of these together one of these days...

I guess you can fit a square peg in a round hole if you use a big enough hammer.

Yeah, sorry, should have been more specific. The one I was going off of was that first E36. The pics are small, but the front bumper looks chipped to hell, the sidemoldings and trim are all faded and worn, the rear trunk lid looks like it's covered in something, and the badging's a little sloppy/corny, and personally I think it would have been fine just debadged.

A lot of guys put an LS1 into E30 chassis,... now if I could just find one for under $10K.
