I just bought the Philips DVP5140/37 from Walmart about a week ago, after alot of searching for a DVD player that plays divix, and here is my review of it.

Pros:
- It plays divix of course. Just burn the files as data on the dvd and you are good to go. You could burn them as video of course but on video I can only get around 3 1hr shows and using data I can get around 12 1hr shows. It plays any type of DVD disc, and will read CD's also with divix files on them.
- Quality is amazing on this player. My 1hr divix shows are around 350mb's each and they look great. There is no skipping, no lines, nothing wrong with the quality. They look just like I was watching them on cable.
- Price is $49.99 for this player which is more than some of the cheap dvd players on the market, but for what you gets its a very hard price to beat.
- Looks are not extremely important, but you don't want a gigantic dvd player that looks crap in your nice entertainment unit. Its a slim unit and looks good in silver.

Cons:
- It doesn't have an eject button on the remote which to me doesn't matter since you will have to get up anyways to get the disc out. This is a con I read about when I reading about this dvd player, its not really worth mentioning, but some people may not like that I guess.

Its not the best review, but I just thought I would share.

Looked good. This is one thing I like about this forum, is that people do review things besides just cars.

On some of the other Philips DVD players, if you hold down the stop button on the remote, it will eject the DVD.

Thanks. It works on this model also. So no cons at all for this player.
