I just bought my first car (I've always had pickups) last Wednesday. It's a 2003 Jaguar X-Type (AWD, 2.5L V6). I purchased it at Car Universe in Cool Spring...they were easy to deal with and I ended up getting a decent deal (at least as decent as can be expected at any dealership).
The car is very nice and I'm loving the mpg (mid 20s), which seems great when compared to the 13mpg my 01 Dodge Ram was getting.
For future reference, does anyone have a suggested service shop (preferably in the Cool Springs/Franlin area) for european cars?

Don't have to worry about it on that one much. The X-type is a reshelled Ford Mondeo, which was the Contour here. It uses quite a few Ford parts, which will likely be much cheaper.

I would think that alot of the work could be done at a Ford dealer since that's what it is.
There is a Euro repair place on the north side of Franklin. It's on Harpeth Industrial Court. It's the 2nd shop on the left and the name completely evades me at the moment.....

That's good to know. I'm not completely mechanically inept, but just looking under the hood of this car, I can tell it won't be near as easy to work on as my previous trucks. Heck, from what I can tell, the upper intake has to come off to get to the rear bank of spark plugs.

I forgot his name (and already tossed the card). He was a middle aged guy....UT fan.

Yes. Thoroughbred is the only dealer locally.
