Finally I have BASS! Went out and bought an amp to go with the sub I already had. The headunit is just a sony chameleon. Its good for the moment. Then I ran wire from the headunit straight to 4 crossovers. one at each corner. The component sets are 5.25 TMA 2-way systems. The amp I bought yesterday is a Boston Acoustics GT22. It is 2 channel with 500rms watts and is a/b class. All the wiring and interconnects are JL audio. The sub is a single 10" eclipse aluminum dvc I had from last year. I never used it until now. The box is medium sealed and it pounds for just one 10"! Really clean sounding. I wasnt even sure if the sub still worked or not but obviously its in great condition! I also have another 10" just like it. I was thinking about dropping it in, but too much weight for the stang. Ill prolly end up letting my friend bump it in his chevy lumina...:tough:

well I could barely fit one 15" in my old 97 stang so I dont think theres any way you could fit 2 in there. No doubt it would pound hard, but im concerned about weight and seems like I have a good compromise. The 10's are great for these cars. I used to have a 15" RF Power HX2 with a 600watt rockford amp, but I had lots of problems. I like the boston amp better than the old RF.

I have 4 AA 8in subs in my standard cab Dakota with a hifonic 1200watt RMS amp. In my car i have 2 hifonic 12s with a like 600 watt kenwood amp.I keep blowing subs in my truck though. It's wierd only one blows in the same hole and they are wired in parrel. Sounds like you have a nice setup in your car. I think I might just get one 8 for my car because of weight.
Great amp and sub combo, man. I've always loved the Eclipse aluminum subs. Definitely one of the most accurate subs available.
Congrats!
