i really need to replace AT LEAST the shocks on my car. theyre starting to squeak when its cold out and the such. . . im sure theyre busted or something. . . the rears anyways. after 100k miles of whatnot (80k that i dont know of), i figure its not a bad idea to get around to that.

i dont know all the "ins & outs" of suspension components, so im counting on you guys to lend me some ideas.

right now, i have a eibach pro-kit lowering springs on the car. theyre at least 20k miles old. dont know if that matters too much.

anyways, i dont want anything too rough. . . though, i do want to have the confidence to be able to track it (autox more than likely) several times a year. i understand that it may be pointless to spend a ton of money on this stuff if i dont have a real feel for my car (and i honestly dont think i do), but i also, dont care to do things twice. . . if you know what i mean.

so, anyways, im just looking for some good intermediate shocks. . . and i guess springs if you guys think i need to get rid of those eibachs.

thanks,
paul

You need to ask Chadwick. He can tell you what spring rates to go with, but I'm sure he'll tell you Koni shocks are the only way to go.

koni yellows or kyb agx's tend to be the "intermediate" shock of choice.

cant get agx's for my car. . . which is too bad, cause ive heard a lot of guys saying how much the like them.

figured konis were the option. maybe dan will see this. but, then again. . . he may not reply until i get my dogs to quit crapping in his yard.

Konis over KYBs any day. I've had both on the Miata and the Konis are infinately better IMO. Chadwick will probably answer if you sell him that hood. ;)

I'll definately echo the koni's. I've got re-valved Koni's on the Miata w/ 600lb front springs, and with the dampers on full soft its still a very comfortable ride. More comfotable than my Corolla on 350lb front springs with Tokico HTS (now called D-spec in the US I think)
