Okay, Microsoft haters... don't let the door hit you on the way out... ;)
THIS is slick, and great to see that a company that tends to get some much negative press really is pushing computing to the next level. Star Trek nerds hang on, because this can make those touch panels a reality.

That is pretty cool. Too bad the only people that will be able to afford it for the next 10 years will be businesses and rich people.

I read $5,000 to $10,000 for the next 3 years, til they can get it down to a "consumer" price range

Same article I read from Popular Mechanics... compared them to plasmas.
Should hit consumer levels in years to come.

after watching microsoft's video demos, it looks worth the price.
When I started college in 2001, most plasmas were $7,000-10,000. I remember my Busienss Admin. professor saying that the cost would come down to $2,500 within 5 years... reality was it went lower, but I could see these "surface" type tables becoming fairly common in a few years.
pretty fudgin' sweet

been discussing this on AVS, very nice work from microsoft, i'm all for something that pushes technology to the future, regardless of the company behind it.
