Instead of buying a used Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 setup I think I might settle for the Logitech Z-5500. It looks pretty good and has a 10" sub so it'd REALLY have to suck to not be good.
Right now I'm seeing them for $260-$300 + shipping so if anyone sees them on a site that I might not know about then HOLLAR!

the z-5500 are pretty sweet, they rival more expensive home theater setups.

They are $250 from Dell. Do you get any additional discount on products from Dell? Of course, tax = teh suck.
I got my Z-680's about 5 years ago from Dell. They had the best price back then (including shipping and tax). The 680's have been a great purchase. My only complaint would be that they are bass heavy and my control pod died on me 2 years ago (but Logitech had a brand new complete set at my door within two days.).

Awesome. I'm seeing they're $211 right now from Dell. I've gotta find out if I can get any more off. :D

you might try comp usa. i bought that exact setup on sell (and tax free when it was a tax free weekend) a few months back. i'm very happy with the speakers though! deff. worth the money imo

The thing that scares me about cube speakers is that they won't have enough mid-range in them but I figure with a nice 10" woofer that thing should be able to fill in good.

i'm more than happy with mine. i mean its not as good as an indep. powered sub that you would find with good sur. sound systems, but all in all, i would buy it again if i had to!
