I want the premium edition and was gonna get one off craigslist. I know they had some problems with overheating and just wanted to know what to look for when trying it out. Also, does the 360 have a wireless connection or just a hardline ethernet?

make sure to get a good cooling fan. gamestop carrys a new one for 29.99 that has all the outputs bulitin so you don't have to use the dongle and can use GOOD cables w/out having to buy the proprietary ones. It has component, VGA, optical and the basic compsoite as well.
FWIW, if you are buying new scour for an Elite. The 120GB HD and HDMI are well worth the $80.........if you can find one in stock anywhere. I got mine at game trader in Rivergate after looking probably 10 other places.

if you buy used and the warranty is up, do the x-clamp mod, it'll run better than new.
this is the best route to go, because a 3ROL "broken" 360 runs about 125 bucks.
and a "full refurb" is the worst thing you can buy. everyone out there who has went through muliple consoles had the worst luck with the refurbs they were receiving.
my console "died" and i fixed it for about 4 dollars and an hour of my time, and it runs better than when i bought it.

Which one? Are you using HDMI or component? You better not be using the junky video connection@!# Set it up to run at the highest possible resolution!
