I've got a Sony 42" HDTV I bought almost a few months ago and I had it scan for channels; it picked up all kinds of digital channels including what looks like the OnDemand video that plays in the top-right corner of the screen.
These channels will sometimes have that video playing but of course minus the menu. Eventually a movie will start playing. Most time I see them in 480p and they usually come through in DD5.1, tonight one was 16:9 1080i.
I wonder if I'm getting my neighbors' feeds of movies they queued up with OnDemand. Today I saw Lady in the Water which was a pretty decent movie.
Yep, that's exactly what you're seeing. My tv picks it up as well. You may catch some porn at random times too :stare: Up here in the sticks, they haven't rolled out HD service yet, so while I see the channels as digital, they aren't HD for me. :(
I watched parts of the Astronaut Farmer, Lady in the Water, Ice Age 2, and a few others.

My LG HD tuner would pick up the On Demand movies and the digital music channels. Look on the AVS forum and you'll find each channel, including the HD channels from Comcast. My tuner would see some of the channels as 100.0, 100.1, 100.2 and stuff like that. I'm not sure if the newer ones built into TCs do the same or not.

Yeah, my TV will tune the ###.## channels. I read on the AVS forum that you could use firewire to record from your cable box, I had no idea.

You gotta link? My aquos picks up all kinds of digital channels, but they seem to be duplicates of other channels. I would love a guide to show what's what.

People are watching pretty decent movies around here! I just wish they would just watch the movie; don't pause, seek, or stop in the middle of the movie!##!@#
