I-40 Dragway 28 July

Well I spent most of the day at I-40 Dragway and took over 500 photos. Met some real nice people. Talked to Billy Glidden and his wife and 2 birds that they brought with then. I left at 7pm so I can't really say what happen after that. It was friggin packed. I live less than a mile from there and I have never seen so many people turn out for an event. Anyway here are some pics to share.

Thanks guys, I spend most of the day hanging off the guardrail on the tower side. If you were there last night then you seen me. I had a backpack I was lugging around also. Those are just a few, I got every car out there that went down the track while I was there.

The interest I have is do you have a full time job, or might you be interested in doing a little travel and shooting for me at a couple of NMRA / NMCA races? I work for PhotoMagic Photography and we cover Fun Ford Weekend, NMRA and NMCA races. I have a few races coming up that I might need someone to shoot for me. I am a retired Marine, but I do have a full time job working for a phone company as a Video Network Supervisor. I would be interested, as long as I have enough notice. Both my kids are grown and gone, and I have a very understanding wife, fact is she would be glad to get rid of me sometimes. I would like to find out more, as you have my attention.

Yeah, I had already made plans or I would have stayed. If he went down the track before 7 pm then I have pics of his car. I pretty much stayed on the track side guardrail when there was activity on the track.

I was at the track at 2:30 till 7:00 so I got some time walking around shooting some of the cars, talking to drivers and playing around with camera settings. Good times.:cool:
