I have aftermarket sway bars (Progress) and front end links (Hotchkis) and they've been on there for 2-3 years... well, the other day, I turned a corner (not even going fast) and I heard a loud POP... metal type of pop... i know exactly where to look.

This is a diagram of what broke.

The arrow is pointing to the front of the car.

Now, I've heard small popping sounds from the front passenger side one ever since i put them on, but this is from the front drivers side one...

Now it looks as though I'm going to either take the bar off or have it fixed... so I WILL have it fixed, but now the question is, how... weld something on both sides of the metal part that broke, try to weld something the same shape as the piece that broke off?

Thoughts?

Weld in a tab to replace the metal that broke then weld on additional plates on each side of the mount to support it more.

I can fix that and support the other one si it never happens again for you, if you like.
