Nikon is a little slow about bringing out their toys, but when they do land they are very well done. :love:

In the past, noise was their loss to Canon, but that is going to change with the newest gear like the D3 and D300. ;)

Yessir! However, I don't even know if after winning the powerball if I could part with that kind of cash. I would like to see the guys that use these cameras and the way their assistants sweat bullets every time they setup.

Don't be offended by the new Nikon gear. :rolleyes:

I posted a similar thread a long time back on the then new Canon 1D MkIII. (http://www.tennesspeed.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36479) I guess you should go post your negativity in that thread as well? :shake:

FWIW, I never hated on Canon. I think they make great DSLR's and lenses. :)

They both have their positive and negative features, but the high ISO noise was killing Nikon. Waiting this long to fix it and bring out their pro-gear was really a bad idea IMHO.

Price wise, I think the D300 is within reach for most folks, but the Nikon D3, Canon 1D/1Ds MKIII, are out of reach for everyone except the rich hobbyist and professional photographer

You got to be making money to toss a $5,000-$8,000 DSLR back every year or two for the next update. :meh:
