Does anyone have a suggestion on where to buy computer parts from off the net? Went to CompUSA to see about upgrading some stuff on my Dell (keyboard/ mouse, RAM) and the guy trying to sell **** was a real ****wad. Plus they seem too damn high in price.

CompUSA can kiss my white corroded hairy ass!!!!!!:reef:

www.newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com) is good for prices and reliability.
use crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com) to figure out what kind of ram you need (in case you have something like DDRII and need to put 2 sticks in at a time)

www.zipzoomfly.com doesn't charge tax and most stuff is free 2 day shipping.

Compare their prices to Newegg thought because sometimes newegg's price is lower and even though you have to pay tax and shipping, it comes out cheaper than ZipZoomFly.

Those are the two I use.

Or ebay.

newegg is by far the best ... built many computers and bought many parts using Newegg and never been unhappy

Thanks. Been looking at newegg.com and seeing some of the parts and pieces ( will have to see what is Dell compatible). I found another website called computergeek.com that has kits to build your own. Anyone heard of thsi site?

www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com)

Good place

Or search with Froogle if you know specifically what you're looking for.

You have to watch pricewatch cuz some places lowball on the price and then ream you on shipping just to get the lowest price on the list.

Newegg is good, so is mwave.com. With newegg you'll have to pay tax but the stuff gets to you quick because they have a warehouse in Tennessee.

i hate pricewatch.... i got pwnd by a few stores on there back in college.

I now use pricegrabber to check prices and usually order though the sites listed there.

but i recomend zipzoomfly, we used them at my old job to build probably 300pc's. no tax is well worth it

I ordered a part from Newegg Wednesday afternoon around 2pm. It was at my house yesterday by 12pm. Standard shipping.....just cant beat that.

They also have a great return policy, I have a friend who will order every piece of the computer, put it together, ship back the parts he doesn't like, then order replacements. He has done this several times and it is a great way to buy a computer. No regrets about spending too much/too little on parts and you can "tune" your computer to your personal needs.
