Lyles is in East Hickman County. Take I-40 to exit 172 (Highway 46/Dickson/Centerville) and head south on Highway 46. Cross Highway 100 and the school will be on the right.

It was a really good car show, especially for the hunting and fishing land called Hickman County. There are some really nice cars west of Nashville.

They had a good turnout yesterday and got to meet GLHS592. It was alot of fun.

As far as the drag racing high event. It is a new tv series on speed channel and they are shooting the pilot episode here. The contest is between Fairveiw high school and East Hickman high school. They came up with the idea at the first of there year and contacted Rich(from pinks) and told them about it. He liked it so they decided to do a show about it. They have been building the car for a little over a month now. They have a 10,000 budget each but 60-70% of the parts are being donated. They have been given some really nice parts and will be sweet rides.

They will film the race at beech bend in early novemeber and I will post a date when it is set in stone. Come on out and you can meet Rich:rolleyes::lol:

Just saying THANKS to all the folks that made it out to the show yesterday..The folks from Speed Channel got a lot of nice shots and stated they had over 4 hours of video to go thru just from the show. I'll have to admit when the school approached us about doing a drive-thru judging I was uneasy, but everything worked out well. We had over 200 rides show up for the show, with 159 of them driving thru the judging lane..

Over $3,000 was raised for the event. Here's some pics of the show, but definately more rides than shots in the album..

It was a good show. Had a little of everything. Old, new, custom, resto, tractors, motorcycles, trucks , lowriders even lawnmowers. Actually don't think I've ever seen such a diverse assortment. And yes, the "Pink Panther" was there too.
