Speaker / Amp Impedence Difference?

So I have a CB radio with a PA output jack, and I want to use this existing external speaker I have for it. The problem is that the radio expects an 8 ohm 5 watt speaker, and the speaker is 11 ohm 100 watt. So I'm guessing I can use an amplifier with signal level inputs?

As long as the impedance isn't lower than what the amp is rated at it should be fine.
