opendns

Anyone else tested this out yet?

I implemented this on my router and I'm trying to tell if things are faster or if I just think they are. Oddly enough, I did this last night when comcast was having issues and I don't know if it was strictly a timing issue, but I was able to open more sites once I changed the DNS IPs. Could be coincidence.

open dns is night, esp for non tech savy people. like putting it on your parents or grandparents computers. to basicly block all the bad spam and fishing sites out there.

it is pretty darn fast, but i just choose not to use it. the not following the RFC standards for dns mostly. since they cache the dns entires it can cause problems at times if something goes down and they dont update the cache quick enough.

but there is really no reason not to run it
