Our local SVTOA group is going to make a trek up to Beech Bend to run the 1/4. We would like to see some TNspeed folks there too if anyone wants to get a few runs in.

We will meet up at TNSpeed Sport before we ride up so if anyone wants to convoy up wit us that would be great.

The TBSS is awesome for what it is, but it was kinda boring last time I raced it being and automatic and all. The Miata was much more fun to drive and quite a bit faster too. I was hoping to possibly be in the 12's with it. Maybe next spring with the new setup. :(

You come with me on the 17th, and your truck should be in the 13's. You ran in the dead heat, and the truck itself was heatsoaked, which KILLS the LS2's. You have no idea how much timing is pulled in these trucks the higher the IAT climbs.

Seriously, head up one of these weekends in the TBSS, and you will be pleasantly surprised if you will let it cool off before each run. :)

I was thining it would make you gearing more.. but heck I dont know..

I do know that if you car has an ABS system like the Fords then a difference in tire height like that will trip the ABS sensor.

no biggie.....I ran a 13.9, and others have ran as fast as 13.5. They're very deceiving. lol Actually, me and Chad ran the same mph, I was just able to squeak out a 13.98 in mine. :D

Man, We've got to meet up sometime. I wanna know what I have to look forward to. lol.. Seriously though. I was happy with the time, but sad that I couldn't back it up with another 14.0 or better. The rest were 14.1-14.3.. 96-97mph.. I was tryin different launch rpms and none seemed to matter. I just basically went full throttle from about 1200rpms on the first run and ran the 14.0. After that, i tried various higher RPM stalls and it didn't help any. I think I just really need a good tune and and convertor! :D

Unfortunately, heatsoak is a MAJOR problem with these trucks. If you try to hotlap it, the PCM will pull timing, and of course it will run slower.

I may have a converter for sale before too long if you're interested, as well as a tranny cooler kit, e-fans and harness, CAI, t-stat, etc., etc., etc....:D

I pretty much figured it was pulling timing. I'm guessing the lower T-stat would help a little, plus plenty of cool down between runs. PM me. I'm definately interested.
