Megan surprised me by getting a Wii for my birthday...

It was COMPLETELY unexpected and I would have never gotten one on my own, but it has turned out to be a FUN console when you want to play games with multiple people locally! After two hours of tennis, golf, and bowling... I'm sore as hell. :(

IMO the 360 is great for single players, but when you have guests, it's the lose.

Now I need your advice... what's good on the Wii? We got the pack that came with the console, and the Sports pack... Any other titles I should get?

Also, am I understanding WiFi is built in?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions! :D

I thought this was going to be one of those bad stand up jokes like "I just flew in from Boston and........"

I have been eyeing a WII and an Xbox 360 both. The Wii looks like it could be fun, but the Xbox seems to have more games that I would play on it. Maybe I should get a Wii just for the exersise factor.

Resident Evil 4 is a must have, so is the new Metroid Prime Hunters. I loved the Wii at first, but after I got another 360, it has not been played.

It does have built-in WiFi and you can download a web browser if you feel the need to surf on your console. If you are an RPG fan, the new Zelda game is pretty incredible. There is a game (name escapes me) that comes with a controller and more games similar to the wii sports. I think it includes darts, pool, etc. I only played it once, but it was quite fun.

Not big into the RE series... yet Metroid could be fun.

My fear is when the 360 comes back from service, the Wii will sit stagnent. :(

I was amazed when my 360 came back in a hair under 2 weeks!! I read some people were waiting 6-8 weeks. They've really sped up the process.

Yeah I just got my call today from UPS, and it will be here tomorrow.

They received it only two weeks ago.

I'm more eager to FINALLY play Forza, than my BRAND NEW Wii.

I haven't touched my Wii since I got the 360. :( We are in the new house, so if you want to check out RE4, I've got it. :)

Wii Play. Comes bundled with a Wii-mote, so you get the game for $10. Another good "party" game.

BTW, another fun game that just came out is Carnival Games.....freakin love it!!

Haha... Okay, I'm getting more addicted. I can see this will a GREAT alternative to the 360.

After two hours of tennis and boxing, I worked up one hell of a legitimate sweat. The Wii can be one hell of a workout if you really get into it.

360 = Guaranteed Way to Get Fatter
Wii = Not the 360

Oh, that is _SO_ sig fodder. :)

get:

zelda ~ it's zelda, that's reason enough :)

rayman raving rabbids ~ awesome multiplayer, hilarious gameplay

elebits ~ awesome gameplay, first level is everyone's fantasy: to make your house look like a disaster zone. great multiplayer

paper mario ~ old school 2D flavored mario with a twist

metroid prime 3 ~ the game that proves the accuracy of the wiimote for first person shooters (though metroid is more of a re-traversal adventure game)

coming soon: no more heroes, mario galaxy, smash bros, mario kart, final fantasy: crystal chronicles... some others that i can't think of
