I finally got the engine built and installed! I also put brushes in the starter, got a new batt-ry, and put 1 gauage welding leads on it for a starter that doesn't argue with the 10:1 406 ci Poncho.
I love the smell of leaded fuel in the morning!!!
(Now to fix the brakes and suspension so I don't DIE. )

So you didn't bend the crank this time. Working on brakes now also on a Bug, not getting any fluid to the rear though, bleh.

lol, NO! (Thank GOODNESS!) But I DID forget the water pump "seperator plate" and wondered why it was boiling over (with a loose raditator cap) almost every time I drove it. :wall: I had a EUREKA moment and put it in, no problem (other than 15 holes in a decades old radiator.)
No fluid to the back...Disc/disc, disc/drum, or my favorite, drums everywhere!
So, are we ever going to see the GTO?

Hell this is a classic, no power and all drums.
I think I may have a bug's nest or something in the rear main line, it set open for about 5 years. Nothing that my compressor can't fix.

I'm waiting for the optimal lighting to the scratches, rust, and body panel misalignment don't show....and it's not completely dark except deep in caves. I've got some pics, no way to upload currently.
I think the MUSTANG didn't want any, as it passed multiple cars to get away from the GTO instead of laying back and doing battle. BTW, I lifted to keep from rear ending that Musturd... :-p

Of course he didn't bend the crank this time. He let his 1 year old boy handle the installation.:D Ross the Hoss FTW!!!:D

Ross is BANNED from the shop, there are 2.5 bajillion things that he CAN'T TOUCH.
Today's trip to work involved lifter tap at 4 miles from work. I hit the interstate and it developed a misfire. 3 miles later getting off the interstate it was a dead miss and a metallic clattering sound. I killed the engine and coasted 9/10 of the way into the parking lot. Expected another pulled rocker stud, instead found a rocker arm ALL SIDEWAYS with a burst pivot area. Can you say "glad it didn't drop that valve and total an engine with < 100 miles on it!"? The wife delivered some spares and it will head for home on 8 again.

Your car will have the runs when mine's done with it!
stevendale79ta

Only reason it would get the runs is because once it's done eating your car up it has to get rid of it some how.hehe

Well that just ain't right.LOL Now that I think about it aren't you on heartland as well? If so then hell no I don't want to try and chew on that stang. Hell it'd be a waste of my gas cause you're going to hand my ass to me. My car only runs 8.3 (possibly better if I tune on it). But what the hell, I don't mind losing, fun is fun even if I do lose.:) And shame on you Ashley for not warning a fellow pontiac guy that I was about to get my ass handed to me.
