My spam has picked up for some reason and MS Outlook sucks at filtering it. I read that Thunderbird has an adaptive filter so I've started using it and it's doing a pretty good job at sorting out the junk!

Outlook might be good for work and if you have an Exchange server but it's got nothing on Thunderbird for free home use.

gmail spam filtering > all teh other losersMeh, webmail. It's not like I'm out to cut down on memory usage. :) Hell, everytime you open a tab in Firefox it uses more memory. Currently FF=61MB, Tbird=29MB. Do you use gmail POP3?

Hmmmm... Outlook 2007 has caught EVERYTHING that has tried to come through.

Maybe my email addy is on one less pr0n site than yours?I'm thinking my problem is related to my copy not being legit. The spam filter works half-assed and last time I tried to update it I was denied because it wasn't genuine, pffft. This is of course for my home computer. Psst, keep your work comp clean, it gets scanned for compliance. :fear:

i recently moved all of my domains email hosting to Google Apps and their email filter is far superior to spamassassin or any other serverside open source anti-spam filtering software i have ever used. I use POP3 and i only pull down non spam email, its very nice.
