1st concert photos

On my drag racing photo gig, a guy I worked with did alot of concert stuff and got me wanting to really try it. Pretty tough with the lighting. I had to use my $70 cheapo 50mm 1.8 lens and ISO 3200 to fight through the dim lighting.

Iwas a fan of this guy a long time ago. Not as good as I remembered him, but still a pretty fun show. The 2 cracker rappers sorta sucked. The second band was pretty cool--the rock and rap deal. And the last are of Count Bass D and his wife. Enjoy

concert photos are hard to take....but yours have turned out way better than mine. All of mine are really noisy but I guess that has a lot to do with my D50. I have a 50mm 1.4 lens bit for some reason my shots never seem very sharp when I use that lense.

Those look great...I would have thought with that high of an ISO, they would have been a lot more grainy? Or are my novice eyes just not seeing it.

3, 5, and 7 are KILLER shots man. They're all pretty good but those really stand out to me. I really think I need to ditch this Nikon and pick up a Canon because I could never do anything like that due to the high ISO noise problem of Nikons. :(

Thanks all, I had fun doing it (priority #1). Josh these were processed through Noise Ninja, although straight from the camera they weren't too bad. Come to the dark side...

Thanks Bob-E. I'm pretty sure I ran most of those through Noise Ninja. Those were my better shots. I have hundreds of unuasable shots. I'd like to get a D80 before I give up on Nkon with my show pictures.
