Test Test, One Two, One Two (Random Photo Crap)

Just trying a few new things, the primary of which is how stable the new image hosting service I'm using is (flickr). May stick with some or all of them, may not. We'll see.

Do you guys think the watermark is redundant? Joshua Gull Photography sounds ******** and Gull Images has a much better ring to it, but I'd like to include my name as well to make it more personal and to get it out there. Everything else I can see on my own, but I'm unsure on the watermark.

Yeah I think just gullimages, or if you keep them both, put your name first, then gull images. I thought you had your own site for hosting, what happened? I'm gonna do that soon.

Eh, I do but I'm a webtard so I dont upload stuff to it. I just let my friend who designed the site use it for the site and thats it. I stick with the easy layout upload places.

joshuagull | gullimages is probably better than the way I have it. Good call Bawb. :thumbs: More pleasing to the eye.

The man is a genius! Thanks for the idea to switch them around. I loved the look of the tag but it did seem redundant to me the way it was layed out. Switching it up is a drastic improvement IMO that I just didn't have the mental capacity to figure out when I was doing all of this at 2am last night (way past my bedtime).

Although subtle I feel it made it look "right" with having both there, one to get my name out there on a personal level and one to get the business name out there for people to refer to the site.

Haha, didn't even know that was you man. I guess it'll be spring before any of us are out at track events but I'll be sure to say hi the next time I see you out. I guess there aren't too many purple SN95 Stangs running around so if I see one I'll assume its you.

I took the inspiration from a guy who worked for a company but still included his name to credit himself for the work. I'm just a one man operation but I was going off of the same concept.

FWIW, there is the potential for things at a later date, and I've dabbled in this a bit now too, is for me to do processing on photos that others have taken and requested that I do work on allowing me to credit them as the photographer while still including my business info for myself for the post processing work. There is also the chance that for things I dont know how to accomplish in photoshop I'll have a very close friend of mine help me and we can credit both of us on those projects as need be by it because she has her own little company like I have Gull Images so it would help both of us out on those.

I'm super OCD so I even break it down to "gull" being not so much mirrored but next to each other on either side of the "|" as well as one being bold and one not but also "joshua" and "images" having the same amount of letters in them. I have a sickness.

There is also the option to change the layout of the border width and all that and get my name and website in instead of just the business name to make it less redundant as well. Could be something as simple at joshuagull | www.gullimages.com

A few photography guys I know do this, one in the border like I did and a few others on the actual picture in a line or two with their name and website. Its still subtle albeit longer than the other tags and doesn't look bad at all IMO.
