www.bhphotovideo.com Might not be the absolute best price, but it will be a good price and you'll get good service and won't get ripped off.

A little more information might help us help you. Are you wanting to buy new or used?

What kind of pictures are you wanting to take?

I guess your first step would be to go to some of the review sites and do some reading of what the entry level dSLRs have to offer.

Really, you can't go wrong with any of the brands out there today. They all have their good and bad points. After you do some reading, the next step would be to go some place and do some 'hands on' with them. You might find the perfect camera for you by reading the specs of it, but once you get your hands on it, you might realize that it's not the camera for you.

You might want to start here: www.dpreview.com (http://www.dpreview.com)

Hifibuys sells the Canon stuff if you prefer local. They actually sell it for 10% over dealer cost. See Jon Hooper 832-3121.

That's good to know! I haven't been to Hifibuys in a long time.

Do they have things in stock, or is it special order?

They keep the main camera kits in stock. Not a huge selection though. Worth a phone call at least if you narrow it down to a particular model or two.
