My gf aunt gave this to me. Ive had it for awhile. It takes some great shots. The porblem is, I forgot how much of a pain in the ass it is to get film devloped and and the hassle of a film camera. This is a manual winding one also. But it takes some awesome shots. I need to scna some of the photos to post up sometime.

Sweet, mang! I bet you can find a lot of good used glass on Ebay for it as well.

Here goes my hand me down junk. My Mom had it in the closet since the early 80's I think. I bought the 28mm lens a month ago. :)

Canon AE1 Program
Canon 50mm F/1.8
Canon 28mm F/2.8
Sunpack Auto 821 Dedicated

Which do you have? The Minolta or the Canon I posted?

I think I recall seeing an adapter to mount Canon FD lenses on newer models. There may be adapters for the Minolta he has as well.

That would be awesome if I could use those lenses on a digital slr. That means all I would ahve to get is a body, right? Just make sure its a 55mm?

You'll have to search and find out if they share the same mount and if it will communicate. If so, you'll have some real nice lenses to choose from.

This may help:

DT lenses won't work it looks like because they're setup for the smaller 1.5x crop sensor.

Well, I ASSume all those newer lenses work except the DT lenses because they list them all under:

KONICA MINOLTA / MINOLTA MAXXUM & DYNAX LENS SERIES

But make sure before you go buy anything. :)

The D40 will make great images. Heck, if you don't want to fool with film, sale off the 35mm and put that cash towards a new DSLR.

I cant sell the Minolta. It was a gift, so no can do. Plus I like the idea of having a old 35mm that takes great pics.

edit: the D40 is a DSLR that I found with a lense for $500.
