Here is my attempt with a lens that probably isn't optimal for this. :ghey::ugh2:

I've had good luck with my D80 + 18-135 too, especially with the camera in macro mode and manually focusing. A sharp lens goes a long way. Nice work.

nice shots, but looks at least 1 stop underexposed to me. I have a dedicated macro lens on the way and hope to get some stuff like this.

I shot all these in Aperture priority at 85mm F/4.5. EXIF is there if you want to see more. I had to work hard to get that little bit of bokeh.

I was in such a hurry that all I did was compose, focus, shoot and go....
More time and I could have done a lot better. That and having the correct lens for this type of stuff. :\

I have a few shot with the Sony F828 I will post up later. All the 828 pics look over exposed to me, though.

They look alot less underexposed on my home monitor. **note to self--work monitor needs adjustment
Would this be overexsposed?

I can't say for sure on this uncalibrated Trinitron POS screen I'm using at the moment. But it looks almost washed out were the pink goes sort of white in some areas.
