I just spent a week vacationing in northern california. These are not professional quality photos or anything. They were shot with an Olympus 8mp camera (not an slr). I've got plenty more and can email a fullsize if you want one. The whole area is a picture takers dream, so if you are ever looking for a good vacation spot to see a lot of amazing things this is it. Pictures just don't do these places justice. Enjoy because I sure did.

I linked about 25 pictures total, but I can only see 3 of them. Can anyone else see about 8 pictures in each post?

Sounds about right. It took awhile for them to load but I think I'm seeing all of them.

I haven't been on a real vacation in 10 years, so this was much needed. I had racked up a bunch of frequent flyer miles from work so I took my girlfriend and my mom and the flights were free. With a rental car, hotel rooms, fuel and food it only cost about $1K. Plane flights are about $400 per person round trip with southwest. It's not a really expensive trip for what you can see. I've spent much much more than that on cars over the years, but this was much more enjoyable for the money.

So did you huff it up half-dome? That place is AWESOME, the wife and I went out there a few years back.

Negative, It was something like a 4 mile hike with 2K feet of elevation change. I'm not in near good enough shape to do that. We took all the short watefall trails but that was about it because It started raining a little in the afternoon.

Ah, yeah well if it was raining then the top of half dome isn't a good place to be. Thus the reason why we didn't go up.
