Just some photos that we took last week on our honeymoon. We visited Fall Creek Falls one day, then moved on to other parts of the state the next. I'll start individual threads for the other locations.

Photos were either shot with the Canon 30D or my wife's little Canon SD1100 point and shoot. That little camera is so freaking amazing it's hard to tell the difference in some instances. Anything with slow shutter was done with the 30D.

A little off topic, but next time you are up there, look up Ranger Matthew Brown. He can take you on some good hikes.

I think I'm going to ditch the Olympus for a Canon. I've been highly disappointed with my 2nd Olympus.

I've always liked Fall Creek Falls. My Dad used to take us camping there a lot! Great pics and thanks for sharing! :)

Congratulations that woman is pretty hot. The wife and I stayed at the fall creek falls hotel once as newly weds. It was okay, but the food really sucked.

#3 looks great. Did you have a tripod with you?

No tripod. All hand held. I just adjust my shutter down as slow as I can for a given f-stop. As soon as I start seeing jitter, I bump the shutter or f-stop up a bit to compensate.

So you ahd to take several pics to get it right?

Yeah, that's usually how it goes. I'll shoot, adjust, shoot, adjust. If I can spot huge problems with a shot on the camera's LCD I will just delete them right there. Otherwise I come home, pull all of my RAW files into Adobe Lightroom and delete the stinkers immediately. Then I start weeding through the rest until I have the ones I like.

It's not unusual for me to shoot 100 photos and get 10 out of them that I want to keep.

Well good, this doesnt make me feel terrible then. Cause I usually do the same thing. I was just figuring that you guys knew what to use and shot it and that was it.

Well, I usually have an idea of what to use when I shoot but there's always some chimping involved. My aunt has been shooting professionally for decades and has won countless national and international awards. Her advice to me was to shoot as much as I could, save the ones I like and delete the ones I don't. She said you'd be surprised at how many pros do it this way.

All the benefits of digital. The problem is, my "good" camera isnt digital. :\
