Audrey, born March 26th. Our first child. Anyway, finally got enough sleep to feel like taking some photos. Used a black muslin backdrop for the shots, and a 430ex flash. Never really shot real people before, so definitely would take some C&C.

Adorable!
This one (http://www.gnomefoo.com/main/content/People/Baby/IMG_7089-2.jpg) might have benefited from a slightly higher f-stop though. Seems like the definition of her face is blurred a bit by the bokeh.

Those are great, really good use of the flash. If those are your first, dont stop now. The first is my favorite.
