we went to huntsville with my brothers coupe sat to see if it would take a 210 shot with a bone stock long block.we were floored with the results.

just to tell alittle about the car.

88 5.0 coupe,c-4,3500 stahl,4.10's,stock 200 k mile long block.victor jr,650 carb,full length headers,never been reringed,and never took timing chain cover off of motor.stock rocker arms,full int,all glass daily driver,well,it could be.but chooses not too.

the car went 7.07 with a 151 60 ft at 95 mph.

we were blowed away.we are gonna put the battery in the trunk,and i told him to get rid of the stock tank and go with a fuel cell,but he likes his stock tank.

i think the car has a 6 second pass in it .with a bone stock long block!!

I suspect the stock block will last a lot longer than the stock head gaskets will.

its a NOS big shot plate system.we started out at 150 shot about a month ago and ran 7.40's,then came the 180 shot and the 7.19..so we threw straight racing gas,took alittle more timing out and ran 7.07.it went 8.01 on motor,with proper timing.

we ought to put it on a slim slow program and loose some more weight.but he likes the driveability of it.if ya'll seen and heard this car and was told it ran 7 anything,you would lol.with the stock flat hood and all,it just don't look or sound that fast.

225 shot on a hci car at 3250lbs and went 10.87( went through 10 bottles as well)....it will hold. +1 on the head gasket though... I would go ahead and do it just to be sure. it ain't fun when they let go on the track, kinda embarassing. ask me how I know ;)

i agree.my brother in law sprayed 250 thru his bone stock 5.0 forever.he did blow a head gasket ,every blue moon.but the car went 6.87 on a 250 shot.

i think we are gonna go back to huntsville next weekend..i think we are leaving the 210 shot alone.just gonna try to get a 6 out of it.

i'll post to see if anyone else is going before we tear out
