Mods: LPE cold air intake, Vector heat soak reduction kit (IAT sensor relocation and replacement), Kooks Signature Series headers (coated w/ cats), Magnaflow catback, underdrive pulley, PI Vig2800 stall, Vengeance VRX3 cam, Vengeance tuning via EFILive, on 19" wheels and 275 rear tires
Thats it, no other mods. Considering GTO drivetrain loss, especially that of a stalled auto on 19" wheels, and the fact that it's a baby cam for a LS2 car (226/228) and I'm still on the untouched stock intake manifold and throttle body, I'm honestly surprised and impressed. Didn't think it had it in it. The headers and stall were already in but not tuned, and no previous dyno pulls were made. Ron, Mike, and Co. outdid themselves on finishing out this package today. Pleasure doing business with them and meeting them too (even if I was asleep on the couch half the day, haha).

Its weaksauce Eric. :) The GTO is plush so it kinda masks it some. Still makes it fun though.

It is sad that I have to put a blower on my car to make those kind of numbers. Those LS motors sure do make some power. Very nice man!

must resist urge to mod my truck.. Must resist the urge.. Dangit.. The more I see yall with these kinda numbers. The more I wanna start workin on my SSuv.. Just can't do it right now though. Got other priorities.. First being a cheap daily to relieve the SS. That'll free up an extra 120 per week.

Nice #s. I just got a set of 1 3/4 kooks, y pipe w/cats and Stainless Works catback from Vengenance (Killer Deal BTW). I've been going back and forth on where to get them installed and dyno tune. If you dont mind, what did you have them do and how much did they charge. I briefly talked with Ron and it was basically 1K for install of the full exhaust with dyno tune. The biggest factor is actually getting it down to Vengenance. I work M-F 8-5 and dont have any days off until I've been with the company for a year. The only other option I've found locally is The Performance Garage in Smyrna. I may be swinging by their shop this afternoon to check them out. Anyone ever use them? I will gladly pay the extra $$$ to get quality work.

Great numbers, Josh. That should get you deep into the 12's with no problem. Nothing like having a car that looks as good as your's does and having a nice level of power to boot.

Thanks guys. I wanted a good power bump while still having the car drive like stock all for a minimal amount of money invested. 405/385 to the wheels through a stalled auto with 19s with a baby cam and a car that drives like stock is something I never would have thought was possible a few years back. If money were no object I would have went with a blower, but much like AllStok I've got other priorities besides the car and after looking at what guys were doing with cam-only setups in these LS2 GTOs and with price involved I knew I had found what I was looking for. It's amazing how far things have come in the LSx world.
SSlim, in that $1k half that is the dyno tuning. Once you're tuned by them subsequent retunes are much cheaper, most included though, so it's an investment. Unfortunately I doubt I'll do much else to the car so that doesn't really benefit me any, but with my time table it was easier just to have them install and do the tuning rather than me doing the install myself and getting it to a tuner. There are other options in the area though: In-Tune Motorsports in Cleveland, TN; Horsepower House in Bowling Green, KY; Spectacle Solutions in Memphis, TN; Performance Garage; and some local tuners too.

Yea Ron quoted 550 for the dyno 475 for the headers. Those are pretty much the shops I have narrowed it down to. I'm going to check out Perf Garage this afternoon if they'll hang around for a few min. Given the options why did you go with Vengenance? Are their prices on par with other shops? BTW I'm def gonna have to enlist you for some pics of the SS.

I'm all for some pics. I love TBSSs and they photograph quite nice too. :)
I chose Vengeance because of their reputation honestly. I know a lot of the little guys around here have a great rep, but I've never dealt with a "big name" shop before and wanted to give it a shot. It was a bit of a different experience than what I'm used to but since I was wanting a VRX3 I decided to let them take the reigns. Everything else I installed and did myself but I left that and the tuning up to them.
My buddy just took my old car down to In-Tune to get a part throttle and WOT tune. He was VERY pleased with the job Scott down there did, and after hearing about the things Scott did and the attention to detail he had I think that'll be the next shop I make a visit to. If you're wanting to stay in state and even if you're considering out of state In-Tune is a VERY, VERY good choice IMO.

sweet ass numbers. Plus your car looks sick, don't even need the extra power!

Car is driving great. Its barely any different than stock just cruising around. Just a good bit more "go" when I nail it. I'm loving it.

is this them?
No LT1 love there?

They do LT1s too I'm pretty sure. They just market to the LSx crowd as that is their major source of income. That is them though. Good folks, good techs, good tuning, good experience overall (except for the drive back on the bypass outside of Atlanta during rush hour, the car didn't miss a beat but I thought my head was going to explode from the road rage I experienced trying to get through that cluster****).
Atlantic and Grimey, I think if Ford put a 6.0L in their stuff you guys wouldn't have many problems getting similar numbers. That is one thing I've always liked about GM, they don't have problems stuffing some cubes under the hood. I'm working on this Fox body build now just trying to get it up and running since the GTO is basically "done" for now, and I'm looking into as many cubes as I can stuff under there to make making power a bit easier (well, half of me is, the other half is saying go forged stock cubes and boost it).

Go stock cubes, stock bottom end, and put a 400shot on it!

I got to see and hear the car today, and all I can say is WOW!! the car sounds as stock as can be at idle.... no one will expect it when they get their a$$ handed to them at the light when they think it is just another GTO. Very nice car man, good to meet ya today as well...

We can make it happen Sleeper, I'm hoping to make it out to the August Cruise In out in Bellevue and maybe if not there I could always meet up in Springfield as I'm not far from there.
Matt, good meeting you too man. It's tame at idle but really wakes up once you're on it.
Sean, find a stock GTO with a loud catback, thats what it sounds like, actually not even as loud. It's got a very, VERY faint lope and it's not any louder than most catback only cars at idle and just cruising around. I love it man. I've had cars with similar power that sound like hell's chariot coming to get you. It's nice to have a car with VERY nice street manners that is this tame and doesn't have to make a ton of noise but can still haul ass when necessary.
Well...a clip still wouldnt hurt!

 So you are trying to say that we are lacking in the size department and that size does matter!?!?!?! Man, you really know how to kick a guy when he's down...:(
I'm also going to have to rethink my wording for any future arguments!

Haha, not quite guys. I've got Mustang love too. I got a Fox body myself. I love me some cubes, but I love FI too. Since Ford is all about that mod motor I'm all about FI applications on them. Or stuff some cubes in a Fox body, hard to go wrong that way either.
Matt, you're car is hauling man. I don't have the weight advantage you do. IMO your car's sound fits it looks. All business. The GTO is just a little different. My old F-Body sounded like hell come to earth, the GTO is just more plush so I wanted to keep it a bit more on the tame side. The 3800 lbs keep it from being too fast.
