Question What are the 2010 Camaro SS Auto cars running?

Anyone got an idea how quick the 2010 auto SS Camaro's are running? I'm just wanting to know for comparison sake to the car below.

The car in the video is an SS auto that made 310whp which seems low to me. They also claim it ran a 13.81 in the 1/4 bone stock which seems a bit slow since the stock M6 cars most claim run 13 flat bone stock. I mean, 0.81 slower with an auto?

I don't want to hear about or see vids of modded cars. I just want to know about the bone stock SS auto cars as they come from Chevy; no tune, no gears, no CAI, no slicks or drag radials, etc.

Video of 1/4 runs and dyno would help to give me an idea of what the average stock auto SS is running and putting down, so post them if you have the vids.

At 3:10 is the shop dude stating what the customer ran in the 1/4 and 4:29 is the stock dyno result.

The ones i have driven haven't impressed me at all. I don't know if it is how they have the TQ management set or what the factory is doing with the tune but from 0-3500rpm it is a real slug. Nothing like the old first gen LS1's, IMO. Although...they do have tons of potential!!!!!!!!!

But to answer your question, not sure on the specs

Most run mid-to-low 13's in stock form. As for the dyno numbers, the numbers above are pretty consistent to what I have seen elsewhere. Remember, the L99 (auto) cars only make 400HP at the crank versus the LS3 (manual)'s 426HP.

Its obviously about the sixty foot. Some people might run low 14s with a bad start, but a talented driver will run low 13s. It would be suicide to try one to beat one in a 103mph car unless you just want to embarrass a drag racing n00b AKA not proof of faster car, just faster driver.

Torque management in a stock auto car is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Seriously, the stock A6's are dogs until they get a tune.

I never said I wanted to try and pwn an A6 SS in the 1/4. I just happened to come across that vid with the low whp and claimed 13.81 1/4, and thought wtf is wrong with it seeing as the M6 crs run 13 flat.

But fyi, if they run consistent 13.80's stock, I'd beat'um. I ran consistently better than that in July heat on stock skaterbacks.

I'm sure 99% of them at the track will have a tune and boltons, so I won't have a chance, though.

I have no clue anymore. Purity semi truck truck scale a long time ago showed 3650lbs stock after 5speed swap, but I can't recall if I was in or out of the car.

It should be less (-90lbs) since the aluminum block pi swap and got rid of the lakewood blowproof bell that was like 45lbs (think the tremec bell was 11lbs, so -34lbs there).

    Est maybe 3,526lbs?

tq management is rediculous on any stock a6 gm car. You can gain GOBS of tq by disabling it at lower RPM. If you stomp on it from a stop , when the TQ man finally lets go its like hitting nitrous

John, I would think it would weigh less than that unless you weigh 250+. My GT weighed in <3400 on Beech Bends scale last Tennesspeed day.

Yeah, I'd lay money that was with him in it. The early SN95 GTs with 4.6s are supposed to be mid 3300 pound range without driver. NA to trap 103mph with driver would put it at about 225-230whp on a Dyno Dynamics. If it was 3550 pounds without driver and 3750 with, it would need around the 250-255whp range to hit 103 in the quarter, and I highly doubt an NA SOHC 4.6 2V would make that with the mods listed.

I still maintain that a 108mph RWD car will kick the crap out of a 103mph RWD car to the tune of half a second if both are properly driven and have enough tire to get them out of the hole.

    You're probably right.

But that's what the semi truck scale read years ago when I weighed it at Purity Dairy in Nashville.

I worked there and seen them calibrate that scale often, so I figured it read correct and more accurate than a race track scale.

I'll weigh it up there again and scan the weight ticket maybe after the 15th of this month. It definitely feels way more light weight than it did with the iron block and lakewood bell.

MPH doesn't matter if I get there first.

What is not to understand here?

A stock A6 SS with TQ management from hell gets there in 13.81 @ whatever mph. I get there in my lowly bolt-on (est.) 230whp 4.6L n'a Mustang in 13.56 @ 103.

Tell me again, who got there first?

But like mentioned above, I never said I was going to the track and try to own a new A6 SS.
