update.. Tri-Star Energy was true to thier word.
came yesterday.. i haven't been able to drive the car anymore because of the snow, but I'm pretty sure she's not hurt. Do wonder if there still could be still be water/moisture that could freeze somewhere while it's cold...
they told me to keep any reciepts that pertain to the fuel/water & I'll be reimbursed should need be...
What the lady in cust. service told me was that they carry insurance for this. They pay & then the insurance company takes over to collect. I'm glad. they got all the money and power to get whats needed to make sure the property owners get what's coming to them= a big fat court-ordered bill that'll have to be paid or they'll be outta buisness. From what I've heard, the station's parking lot is now torn up..
My sweet little prissy cousin also loaded the 50 gallon trash can 1/2 full of the first milkpee gas we drained & took it up to the Shell station owner monday and made him take it out of the back of her truck and pay her for 20 gallons of gas . she said they'd just started digging around when she got there... I sure wish I could've seen that!

Ugh! I'm so sorry that happened. I've always had better MPG's with BP gas, so I have been avoiding Shell altogether since I bought the Fusion this past summer. I'm glad their reimbursing you. That milky crap makes me sick to my stomach!
yeah, i'm definately changing where i buy gas & staying away from Shell.. but only because never heard a word back from Shell's corporate offices.. guess they don't give a crap, i'm only a needle in the haystack of customers...
i still have about 7 gallons of it stored out back.(bonfire fuel..lol). the water has separated now and there's ice in the container..
glad it's over. i guess the lesson i learned was to pay close attention to what's coming out of the pump when i first start the fill up.. i noticed it being white/milky at the end of the fill up, not at the beginning because i didn't look. I sure wouldn't have continued pumping if I'd payed attention.. in that area, i was really only concerned with getting back in the car, locking the doors right fast, & splittin' the scene...

honestly one of the few stations i always trust for gas is a local shell. i try to never fill up in nashville, for some reason my car never runs as smooth and now with the new one bad gas is much more noticeable.
really i think you just have to find some you can trust and stick with them. i hate to fill up at stations i've never used.
This thread definitely has me starting the fill with the neck out just enough to take a peek at the gas.

the station that xrannie filled up at is NOT owned by Dailys. Tristar which is owned by the same people haul them gas. The owner of the station always waits to buy his gas at the last min, which pulls the crap from the bottom of the tank. All Dailys gas tanks are maintained regularly, and checked for water every time before gas is put into the ground.

you are correct. I just found out that. it was a Daily's previously/some time ago, and the listing in the phone book said Daily's.. I just got the report back from the Dept. of Agriculture. (incomplete because the pumps were off at the time they tried to get a sample, also, noting that the owner knew of the problem and was in the process of correcting it.. bleh)
it's a STAR MART..
