    1996 Cobra which blower ?

Well I have been looking at possibly putting a blower on the cobra I just got . I thought I would get everybodys opinion . I have seen roots style blowers for these cars and of course the normal style blowers . Any feedback would be appreciated thanks . Also what makes the best power between the 2

Normally I would say put a twin screw on it, but the choices for B head motors aren't very good. The twin screw (roots) will make more power and torque down low. But the options for your motor are too small.

If I were in your shoes, out of the other three blowers (procharger, vortech and paxton), I would choose a Vortech s or t trim. S or T would depend on what else is done to the motor.
For all the parts you can't buy from a catalog.

I'd go with the Novi2000 and maybe add in an intercooler.

I'm not a fan of the twin screws. Dyno queens if you ask me.....

Going cheap and boosted 4V does NOT mix.... Maybe put a nitrous kit on it instead.

I would go with a procharger. I have seen a couple of used 96-98 D1SC kits around the net in that price range. You can get one from other model years (99-04) but may have to buy the correct bracket from procharger along with other small piece parts.

all brands are going to make similar power and torque, just depends on the size of your blower P1=S-Trim<D1=T-Trim<F1=Novi2000 is a rough scale of similarities. you can't go wrong with a vortech or a procharger, i prefer the procharger because its intercooled (vortech you can buy an aftercooler) and its self contained (no tapping into the oil pan). I've got a D1SC on my 96 Cobra and it makes plenty of power. If there wasn't a 100% chance of rain i'd bring it out to Wynns tonight
