Finally got bored and installed MAC OSX Snow Leopard on the Dell PC's. I didn't do it the elite hax0r way because I don't have the time to do it right now, but will in the summer when things slow down a bit.

I did it with Oracle Virtual Box and TonyMacX86 iBoot install CD. Had to take my retail OSX DVD (5 family pack) and burn an ISO image because for some reason it wouldn't install from the DVD drive.

    But that's it!

Took longer to read up and figure it out than actually do it. Once I did the first install, the second only took a little more than a half hour.

So now they both have Windows 7 Pro, Ubuntu 11.10 (Linux), Windows XP in Windows virtual PC, and Mac OSX in Virtual Box.

Even as goofy as it is using MAC in VB, it sure beats paying double for a MAC! Plus, I have mo more room for anymore PC's on my desk!

I think that killed my install once. Next time I moved the mouse every couple minutes while OSX installed and no problems after that. :)

Bleh.... I need to fid a hack to up the resolution! I think itis running at 1024x768 in virtual box. It looks crappy and stretched in full screen mode. :/

I have had a couple of issues with VB, ctrl+alt+del is fun since the default key to kick off the capture is ctrl. lol

I'm run VB on Suse 11.4 with Ubuntu 11.04 and XP as vboxes. Not real happy with 11.04 it is slow compared to the previous versions, but it may be the RAM. One machine I tried it on was an old P4 1.9 with a gig worth and my test box is a twin Xeon with a gig and a half. I haven't tried 11.10 yet.

I had the virtual box freeze up on my original install of OSX SL at boot, but the cloned (backup) worked. So a dude showed me how to clear something with Ctrl+Alt+p+y during boot I think it was and it worked after that.

Now I have a boot error on Ubuntu 11.10 where it gets to the purple screen and does nothing else, but it will run on a previous version. Odd. It is installed on the 2nd 500GB HD in my laptop with nothing else on that drive. Only conclusion I have for that is after the install, the 300+ updates the thing downloaded and installed must have got messed up. Not sure how to debug it, so I might have to start fresh there. :/
