If you find a set of used 42's, there is a guy in bowling green that will clean them, fit them with new screens, o-rings and caps and flow them for $40 a set. He fixed up my 160's and had them back to me in a week. I also wouldn't turn down motron 60's if you run across a set for a good price, just make sure you get the right style connector. I'm willing to bet that granatelli Lmaf is no different than as delivered from ford. For where your motor is at now, you would be fine with any stock Lightning or 03 cobra maf with pleny of room to grow. My 2000 did 580 to the wheels with a stock L-maf and 60lb. injectors.
Anyone dealt with Blue Oval? http://www.blueovalindustries.com/engine/fuel/eb109042.html That seems like a pretty good deal with the injectors themselves going for $300+ everywhere and the MAF $190 for the FRPP one.
http://www.buyfordracing.com/products/90MM-LIGHTNING-AIR-METER.html I would just find a used set of 42's. I sold mine for $200 and they were brand freakin new!! I bought my 60's for $250
Like I said I wish I would have bought them at the time. The FRPP injectors are Bosch injectors right?
http://www.buyfordracing.com/produc...JECTORS-%2d-Set-of-8-%2d-M%2d9593%2dLU47.html Would those work with the ev1 to ev6 adapter? $250 for a new set.
The only thing I seen when doing some poking around was the adapters hitting the upper intake. I need to do some more poking around though. Injector prices for some reason have went nuts.
I think as long as you stay away from lucas green stripe 42's and msd 50's you'll be fine. Both of which are old school stuff and they were hit or miss for quality. I only have experience with the big seimens deka injectors, but they were good stuff.
These were a set of 60s that I seen, a little big but if I can get a good price on them. Hopefully the IRS will hurry up. Do you think it would be worth while to replace the rails when doing the injectors? I think this thing is turning into a Harley Davidson.....Hundred Dollars. lol
The stock rails will support just as much power as a stock block. Don't waste your money on billet rails. A search says that the "motron" 60's I had were seimens deka. They are good stuff.
Ah hell I can't find them now. Is there a performance difference between the fat EV1 injectors and the thin EV1 or EV6 with a Jetronic connector? I have seen the thin injectors referred to both ways. ie http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=9 vs http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=236
I'm wondering if it would be worth while to replace the valve springs since I will have the upper intake off. I think I'm at least going to look at them and check the dampers, all it will cost me is a couple of gaskets. PCV, isn't there a K&N filter that fits the PCV boss in the intake, I can disconnect it from the intake and solve that problem?
I wouldn't bother with valve springs unless you suspect there is a problem. I've never seen a filter that replaces the pcv. There is one that can go on the oil fill tube. I would cap the port on the upper where the pcv goes. Then just gut the pcv and run the hose over to the barb on the oil fill tube. I also like the small air compressor oil seperator people are using.
I don't think there is a problem, but I have never had the valve covers off it. Hmm, I didn't think of doing that. Would the 710 cap vent enough pressure? The K&N filter was something I seen mentioned on Corral or TM with the oil fill filter also. I did see the valve covers vented into a catch can which looked nice. Let me see if I can find a the pic. I still need to get with you on the W/B, but every time it is nice out it is freezing cold like today.
